PostSubject: RPG Writing Opportunities   Thu Jun 24, 2010 7:49 pm

Right now, I'm going to school for music mainly, but my other two passions, English and gaming, often beg for my attention as well. Since I know a lot about all three and enjoy all three passionately, it makes sense for me to seek jobs in these areas. Sadly, there aren't a lot of opportunities for a beginner to make his first few timid steps into the professional world in music, writing, or gaming. So I'll just have to jump right in with the sharks. But that's how you learn, right?

Anyway, these are some game writing opportunities I've found that you can peruse.

Right now, Steve Jackson Games and the GURPS series appear the most professional and the most promising. Also, I'm most interested in learning GURPS since I've heard a lot of good things about it and have enjoyed Munchkin (another of SJ Games's products) thoroughly. Thank goodness that GURPS 4th Edition is easily torrented Smile

Please post any other ideas, opportunities, or experiences you've had that relate to game design.
