Starcraft 2 Beta

The Starcraft 2 Beta is over for the next month or so! Sadness! Thousands of people have suddenly been forced to go back to Brood War or kill themselves!

Bored before banned. Errr... Bored before beta ends...

I can't pay $60 for this. I will be playing the beta when it returns for the last week, though.

Who am I kidding, I love this game, and it's astonishing to watch the pros play it. Plus, I'm kicking ass at it, I NEED to pound out some non-beta fools.

ya once I get a new computer I'm most definitely getting this game. Blizzard simply makes the best games in their respective genres. and watching the pros play is extremely insightful and entertaining.

In case you didn't hear, Blizzard has announced that they will not include LAN support with SC2. There's an easy answer as to why: they will probably be charging a monthly fee to use Bnet2 and they don't want people hiding from it in LAN

OK. It is pretty much STUPID to pay for anything from activision now, including all blizzard titles. This CEO has made it jarringly clear.

DO NOT buy video games. For the love of God PIRATE THEM. PIRATE VIDEO GAMES!!! So that the industry switches hands solely to those who make quality games for free. There are lots of people out there whose life goal is to do that very thing.

Ya if those quotes are real than I hate that man. I already knew they weren't going to allow LAN play and I figured it was just because of piracy. I have been wondering if they're going to make SC2 a pay-to-play like WoW. I'm sure they could if they wanted. If they do I won't be buying it.

To be honest, pirating games only cuts the salaries of the designers, artists, and programmers who make the games, not the CEOs that boss them around.

I wish the industry wasn't that way but it is.

Every podcast I've ever listened to says that, despite popular belief by the companies, pirating games never takes away money from anyone. There is no real proof that piracy takes away from anything. It's not like you're actually taking a physical thing. You're just using a copy. The people that are going to buy the game are still going to buy it, and the people that won't still won't.

SC2 is back in beta with new levels of computer difficulty. For those who don't want to get TOTALLY RAPED.

The "Insane" difficulty is predictably impossible.

I teamed up against an insane computer with two hard computers, and we were completely annihilated. His single army was more enormous than all three of ours together.

Also, I can easily defeat the "Hard" computer, but get smashed by the "very hard" computer.
